HELPING CHILDREN AND ADULTS ACHIEVE THEIR POTENTIAL United Way of the Concho Valley believes that it is important to help youth and adults to reach their full potential in becoming productive, responsible and caring citizens.
Research shows that this investment must begin even before birth so that young children have healthy beginnings. The later years are also important because it is necessary as an adult to learn how to be a lifelong learner. In order to help children, youth and adults to acheive their potential, the United Way of the Concho Valley provides funding support to the following progams: Adult Literacy Council, English as a Second Language Big Brothers Big Sisters Lonestar, Community Based Program Boys and Girls Club of Menard, Project Learn Boys and Girls Club of San Angelo, Career and Education Development Concho Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America, Youth Development Through Cub Scouts Concho Valley Home for Girls, Independent Living Skills Esperanza Health Center, Success By 6 Girl Scouts of Central Texas, SISTERS (Stay in School to Enjoy Real Success) San Angelo Day Nursery, Infant, Toddler and Pre-K Program
