2012 Campaign Tools 

The 2012 Campaign Theme is "One Love, One Heart, One Way... United Way" because your one gift to the United Way of the Concho Valley supports 17 local Program Providers that offer services here in the 14 county area known as the Concho Valley.  Every minute of every day your dollars are at work providing shelter, food, hope and strength to people in our community who are struggling to improve their lives from almost impossible situations.  The need has never been greater. Here in the  Concho Valley:

 5,039 children and 2,057 senior citizens rely on food stamps

4,142 people exist below the national poverty level

3,557 grandparents are raising their grandchildren

18% of adults are functionally illiterate

292 youngsters are in foster care

825 children were confirmed victims of child abuse

380 babies were born to teen mothers

 Your gift combined with those of others enables us to financially assist agencies that can help.  They are Adult Enrichment Center, Adult Literacy Council, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council, Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star, Boys & Girls Club of San Angelo, Boys & Girls Club of Menard, Children’s Advocacy Center, Concho Valley Home for Girls/Children’s Emergency Shelter, Concho Valley Regional Food Bank, Esperanza Health and Dental Centers, Girl Scouts of Central Texas, Institute of Cognitive Development, Inc., Salvation Army, San Angelo Early Childhood Center, Sonrisas Therapeutic Riding, Texas Southwest Council of Boy Scouts of America and YMCA of San Angelo.
